The Near-Death Experience
That Led Me to Egyptian Tantra
Dear Sister or Brother,
Let me tell you about the crazy tale that almost killed me – and ultimately initiated me into the teachings of Goddess Isis.
My name’s Kiya, and I’ve been teaching for 18 years now, offering deep spiritual experiences to others – first through Ecstatic Dance, then later through Rebirthing Breathwork, and Tantra.
6 years ago, I was living a double life – as a filmmaker and a spiritual teacher – with filmmaking paying most of my bills.
One day, I was interviewing tantra teacher Ma Ananda Sarita, and I was preparing to get the camera rolling for some shots of her with her partner.
I grabbed an extension lead and the power cable for the light. I didn’t even notice the loose wire sticking out of the extension cable. Didn’t even think about my bare feet on damp ground…
The moment the plug slotted into the extension, the most excruciating pain of my life ripped through my entire body as 220 volts of electricity surged through me.
I screamed uncontrollably. Every single part of my body felt like it was being torn apart in pain. I tried to let go of the power cable, but my hands were magnetized by the electricity.
Sarita and her partner were rushing to find the kill switch.
And 220 volts were coursing through my body, every muscle contracting in an attempt to protect my heart.
Suddenly, I heard an inner voice speak with absolute clarity – “You have to get out of this – right now.”
I knew the truth of it – if I don’t get out of this right now, I could die.
Somehow, I directed every ounce of will and strength I could muster to break the connection and pulled the plug out of the extension, cutting the connection.
I collapsed to the ground in agony – but alive.
Inside the hospital, hours later, they asked me how long I’d been ‘plugged in’ for.
‘About 10 seconds,’ I said – that’s how long it seemed to me.
Sarita’s partner turned to me. ‘Brother, it wasn’t 10 seconds… it was 2 or 3 minutes.’
It was only then that I realized how close to death I’d come…
After 24 hours in the hospital, they sent me home to recover.
The days afterwards, I was unable to do much – everything felt overwhelming, except meditation. My nervous system felt raw, and yet… something had opened inside me.
But I couldn’t stay at that high frequency…
I felt lost… completely unanchored – and I slowly came to see that I’d come to hate my job as a filmmaker… a job which sounds great on paper, but which in reality kept me stuck at the computer, endlessly editing.
It paid the bills, but no longer lit me up.
In the midst of all that, my girlfriend left me. Heartbroken and lost, I moved to the ocean thinking it would do me good.
Dark night of the soul? Dark months, more like.
I had about 4 months of trying to escape from my own personal hell… by digging myself deeper and deeper into it, by reaching for my old addictions.
It brought me in the end – literally – to my knees in desperation.
“God… goddess… guides… anyone… please help me.”
Some days later, I heard that wise voice again, the one that had told me to get out of the electrocution.
“Do the one Egyptian breathwork practice you know.”
I sat on my balcony, facing the jungle, and began the Ankh Breathwork I’d received as a ‘download’ some years earlier.
I chanted to Goddess Isis, without really knowing who she was, without fully understanding this call to Egypt that had come out of nowhere.
And that’s when Isis arrived – as a direct presence – in the most powerful visionary experience of my life.
The Day Goddess Isis Entered My Life
She appeared many times bigger than a human – vast, golden, and shining so bright it was almost blinding.
She said she’d been guiding me for years, since I’d first discovered Ankh Breathwork. She explained I’d had past lives in Egypt, and she could help me reconnect to them.
She told me I was a channel – hence being able to hear her words…

The addictions fell away as Isis stepped fully into my life.

Like entering an ancient Egyptian temple, each threshold leads you deeper… until finally you arrive at the inner sanctum – the sacred chamber that holds the holiest of holies, the most refined power, and the deepest levels of embodied truth.
Each level prepares you for the next… each step draws you further inward – and cultivates your capacity to embody, live, and transmit this work.

LEVEL 1 – Initiation (3 months)
First, you receive the 12 Secret keys of Egyptian Tantra – 12 initiations into the core practices, transmissions, and temple teachings. This is where the body, heart, mind, and soul are opened into a whole new level of deep connection. Here, you receive the initiations that priests, priestesses, and the upper echelons of society once received. The teachings that were once secrets, that will inform all that you go on to teach and transmit to others.
LEVEL 2 – Embodiment (1 month)
Next, you begin to live the teachings, bringing them into your daily practice, using them to ‘charge the Ka’ – the energy body – as you sensitise more and more to energy, and come to understand how to build energy and expand consciousness into higher states. You learn to merge the practices with your lovemaking, transforming regular sex into tantric lovemaking, utilising the Egyptian Tantric Keys.
LEVEL 3 – Preparation (5 months)
Now, we begin to prepare you to guide and support others. We help you clear any fears you may have around being a spiritual guide or shining your light even more in the world. You learn the Egyptian Tantric Maps to Ecstasy – structures you can follow to guide others deeper, as well as more fluid, intuitive pathways that support you to teach this body of work in your unique way.
Along the way, you clarify your teaching style, honing and sharpening it, so it becomes stronger and even more powerful. You lean into your growth edges, and receive loving support as you clarify exactly how you are meant to share your spiritual transmission or teaching with other people.
LEVEL 4 – Transmission (1 month)
At the final stage of our journey, you step forward to lead and transmit, first to your peer group and then, at the very last stage, you share this with your community. The teachings are no longer something you have received only for personal benefit – they naturally become something you carry and share with others, to light them up and support them to go deeper on their path.

Let’s sit in a circle with priests and priestesses, and witness how they were once initiated…
With the Ankh… the Serpents… the Pyramids… the Sphinx…
But firstly, what is an initiation? What might it look like?
There is something potent and powerful in a true initiation.
It can be the transmission or sharing of tools, techniques, and practices that allow you to go deeper into your energy body.
It can be a breath, movement, meditation, or sound technique (or sometimes a combination of these)… that brings about a powerful shift.
It can be a direct connection to energy from higher consciousness – or source – in ways that you feel directly in your body.
It gives you a potent experience that leaves a lasting effect.
It can be literally life-changing.
It can feel like you receive a set of keys that open doors – to more energy, to higher states, to ecstasy and super-consciousness.

Goddess Isis (Auset) – The Secret Key of Ankh Breathing
In our first class, we prepare ourselves for the journey ahead, working with Pyramid Power to create a potent and safe container – a Temple Space – within which we will explore the Egyptian Tantric Secrets.
We then go into working with the Ankh as a Solo Practice, using different breath movement, sound, and visualization techniques to activate it more powerfully.
Ankh Breathwork is a foundational practice we will return to throughout our journey together, and one of the Secret Keys of Egyptian Tantra. It is powerful!
Isis & Osiris (Auset & Ausar) – The Secret Key of Ankh Couples Practice
Today we explore the Ankh as a partnered practice – with friends, beloveds, or anyone you feel open to share energy with.
For those who don’t have someone to join them, you can also do this shared practice with your ‘Ka energy body double’ – sometimes called the energetic twin. Connecting with your Ka energy body is super powerful!
So we will use Ankh Breathwork to support energy to flow through us – and to share this with another, on the human or the energetic planes.
Once you have mastered these Ankh practices you can integrate them into your lovemaking in the bedroom for next-level sacred union. We will go deeper into that later in the training.
Horus – The Secret Key of Egyptian Trance Postures
Trance Postures are known to many as Egyptian or Kemetic Yoga. In Ancient Egypt it was known as ‘Smai Tawi’ which translates as ‘the unification of the two lands,’ which refers symbolically to the unification of the human self with the higher self.
When we approach these as ‘trance postures’, they can carry us even deeper. Trance is a state of deep focus, in which we are shifting into higher states of consciousness. To enter trance we hold the postures for longer than a usual yoga class, combine them with trance-inducing music, and breath techniques to enter expanded states of consciousness. We also connect with the different deities associated with the different postures.
Come ready to enter and embody the trance postures of the Neteru – the gods and goddesses – to receive their teachings from within – from the direct experience.
Sekhmet – The Secret Key of Egyptian Trance Dance
Now we take our Egyptian Trance Postures and begin to dance and move with them. We dance as Isis with her golden wings, or move as Osiris into the underworld. We discover the movements hidden in Hathor’s birthing postures and dance until we enter the Eye of Horus (the third eye).
We will sweat, activate the life-force of the body, awaken sexual life-force, and allow it to rise, guided by Sekhmet – the lioness goddess of fire purification. As we dance, we awaken our energy centres one by one, starting from the root, rising through the sex, the solar, and into the heart. From the heart we keep rising into the throat, the third eye and the crown.
Magdalene – The Secret Key of Heart Breathing
Join us to explore Heart Breathing – in which we breathe and melt deep into the heart – utilizing a powerful form of circular breathing.
In this session we work with a more feminine approach of circular breathing inspired by Mary Magdalene, which helps to open the emotional field without force – to help clear and release anything that might need to be let go of.
Heart Breathing is a ‘spiritual power tool’ which expands consciousness so you can see how challenges in life connect back to past traumas – most commonly carrying us back to childhood. As you keep breathing, you journey back to past experiences or memories… some may even re-experience past lives. Once felt, challenging or traumatic experiences can transform and be released, or re-integrated from a higher perspective of soul-level understanding.
Osiris (Ausar) – The Secret Key of the Djed (The Power of the Spine)
Osiris is synonymous with the afterlife, and is deeply connected to the Djed – a symbol that represents the spine, resurrection, and sacred power. But how can we raise energy through the spine if we carry a lifetime of trauma or blockage?
For this next initiation, we will clear the blockages that can often be held along the spine, using a combination of breathwork and conscious touch we support the body to open to more energy flow, and clear any residue that might hold us back from greater sensitivity.
Working energy centre by energy centre, we initiate the body into the remembrance of the Ka Energy Body Loop, also known as the Chakra Loop – an energetic pathway in the body that enables us to tap into a perpetual stream of energy that rises up the spine and down the front of the body.
Once the Chakra loop is open, you can start running more energy through your Ka energy body, as you prepare the body to enter into whole body orgasmic states.
Sekhmet – The Secret Key of Serpent Alchemy
If you were brought up in a Christian country, you may think of the snake as something to be wary of – a story that goes right the way back to the Garden of Eden. Yet Asian and Egyptian spiritual teachings have a totally different view of the serpent. For them, the serpent is a symbol of power, and represents a quality of life-force that can move powerfully through the body.
For this next initiation we learn how to Awaken our Serpents, weaving and raising them through the chakras to activate powerful energy known in Egypt as Sekhem. Sekhem is pure life-force energy (known in India as Kundalini). In Egypt this energy is presided over by Sekhmet, the fiery lioness goddess of protection. Like Kali from the Hindu tradition she is powerful and ready to chop heads (removing ego/mind) so as to support the highest evolution of your soul.
Bastet – The Secret Key of Sensual Awakening
Bastet is the sacred cat, the feline protector of the home, who revels in luxury and sensual pleasure… think of how cats love to receive touch and affection.
Today we call upon Bastet to help guide us into sensual connection with our body, utilizing a combination of deep breath, conscious touch, and sensorial awakening. As we connect with our body, we move gradually from our hearts towards our sexual centre, to connect with and awaken our primal life-force energy.
This is an essential piece for anyone who wants to go deeper into tantric connection. This can run incredibly deep for some… it may bring up the Sex is a Sin conditioning so many of us received from parents, school, church or society.
For those that don’t believe they have any sexual issues, but who rely on the use of drink or drugs to open you – there is definitely deeper healing work to be done here – to help you meet your sexuality in a clear space, free of reliance upon any substances.
Hathor (Hetheru) – The Secret Key of Tantric Healing
This week we deepen into Tantric Healing by working with tantric touch combined with sound. This can help release deep blockages in the body and mind. You might go on this tantric healing journey on your own, or with a partner or close friend. We’ll work with touch and sound to activate sexual energy.
NOTE: for those who are not couples, there does not need to be any direct sexual contact during this session. However, you will bring touch to their belly and pelvis, provided they’re open to this.
For those who are couples, this session can include direct connection to the sex centre, but only once the pathway between the heart, belly and sex centre has been consciously opened.
Magdalene and Yeshua – The Holy Grail Initiation
This week Mary Magdalene will guide us for the experiential part of the journey, sharing words, teachings, and a potent initiation into working with the Holy Grail, as a container for alchemical Holy Union practice. This weaves together all she learnt as an Isis priestess, together with all she shared with Yeshua.
Through this purification rite working with the Holy Grail we continue to clear the energy pathways in the body, rewriting the distorted ‘sex is a sin’ teaching so many of us grew up with. Magdalene can help us rewire our bodies, realigning them as holy temples, holy beacons able to open through orgasm into incredible states of en-light-en-ment.
In doing so we become beacons, broadcasting the Wild Holy Lovers transmission the world so desperately needs – to counteract the distortions of pornography, the over-sexualized media, and the virgin-whore dichotomy so many of us were brought up with.
Magdalene comes to reveal the power and love that dwell ‘beyond any notion of sin’, and the holy sexuality that is found within the bridal chamber, be that with ourselves as the beloved, with our partner, or with the divine source.
Hathor & Horus (Hetheru & Heru) – Egyptian High Tantra for Couples
Today we explore how Egyptian High Tantra can be blended into your lovemaking, drawing on advanced Ankh circulation practices, and learning the tube torus pathways as part of our energy circulation understanding.
We will immerse into a powerful tantric couples practice – using breath and sound to ride our way through the chakras, and then entering the Ankh loops to continue circulating and building the energy.
If you are in a relationship you are invited to bring your partner if they are open to trying this with you. If you are not, you can invite a friend, and together with them learn to activate powerful energetic states.
For those unable to invite someone along, there are Ka ‘energy body double’ variations you can work with so you can still have a deep experience.
Thoth (Tehuti) – The Secret Key of the Akashic Records
As we reach the final week of our Level 1 journey, we shift focus towards higher wisdom. Now you have learnt so many ways to access higher states, it is time to go one step further, and learn to connect to the Akashic Records – the libraries of wisdom that dwell on higher planes of consciousness.
Connecting with Tehuti (Thoth), known to many as The God of Writing, we will go on a journey with him to enter the Akashic Records. There you can access books of wisdom, or connect directly with guides and teachers to support you on your path.

As we move into Level 3, you are no longer receiving the work only for personal initiation… now you are learning and preparing to hold, guide, and transmit these teachings to others.
Learning to share this body of work is multi-layered and multi-faceted. From the outside, great teaching looks simple… but once you step inside, there is a depth to master in order to truly hold others and guide transformational experiences powerfully and safely.
Level 3 is an incubation phase that prepares you to elevate your teaching and healing skills to whole new levels of possibility.

To support that growing confidence, we teach you our Egyptian Tantric Maps to Ecstasy – which includes structured sequences and ways of initiating others step-by-step, so you can offer them the initiations you received in Level 1.
This phase supports you in developing your spiritual work further… if you already offer drop-in classes or healing sessions, we look at how you can expand to offer long-term client journeys (9, 10 or 12 session journeys), to support others to go even deeper.

Learn to guide couples through a deep transformation using The 9 Rites of Isis and Osiris – a journey specially designed to support couples to open, heal and evolve together.
Over the course of 9 weeks you guide them into each of The 9 Rites, taking them deeper into their journey of connection with themselves, their beloved, and all they believe in. These journeys are ideal for romantic partners, but they can also be adapted to work for two spiritual friends who want to go deeper together.

Now we reach the time for your final Transmission – when you shine your light – a light that has grown ever brighter through this 10-month journey.
For your final assessment, you’ll design and deliver:
A 1:1 tantric healing session A guided tantric couple’s session OR a group ritual or class This is either offered live or submitted as a live class recorded with video and audio, so Kiya can observe and provide detailed feedback.
For those not intending to teach tantra, we can discuss other guided spiritual content you feel passionate about offering to help hone your teaching in any area that calls to you.
Final assessment will be graded, and feedback offered to help you optimise it even further.
A few pieces of written work, plus maps and structures, need to be presented as part of that assessment.

I’m already a teacher – will this expand my work?
Yes. This training is designed to deepen your embodiment, refine your transmission, and expand your capacity to support others. Many experienced teachers join specifically to elevate the depth, power, and structure of what they already offer.
I’m not into emotional or process work – is this for me?
Emotional awareness, process, and healing work are part of this path. If that doesn’t resonate, this training is not right for you.
What if I’m very sensitive to energy – or I don’t feel much at all?
Both are completely welcome. If you’re highly sensitive, you’ll likely have a powerful experience. You’ll always be guided to move at your own pace, and pause for grounding whenever you need to. If you don’t feel much yet, this training can help you open to greater sensitivity.
Is this training sexual in nature?
This is a Tantra training, so we work with sexual energy in different ways. Much of the work focuses on energy, breath, and embodiment, and creating expanded states by learning how to circulate energy through the whole body – this prepares everyone to experience multi-orgasmic states (both men and women).
We also guide and teach you how to bring this into shared connection with a partner, and those who are in relationships are encouraged to integrate the practices into their love life if their partner is open to trying new things out (this is usually done outside of class time).
For those who are single, all practices have solo variations that are very powerful.
I don’t have much time for homework – can I still join?
You need to be able to show up regularly to class (approx. 3 hours per week) – or to catch up on that content through the replay each week. Also, you need to make time for deepening into the practices through your personal practice time. At times, you will be asked to write a homework assignment or prepare some teachings or guidance to share with your group, including putting together music for it.
Will I be expected to commit exclusively to the Egyptian lineage?
No, this is not a dogmatic path. If this lineage resonates with you, you may naturally deepen into it – but that choice is always yours. You are also free to explore different traditions that may compliment your deepening into Egyptian Tantra.
I’m living in a country with a really low average income, can I still join?
At times, we offer a special reduced rate for those in countries where the average incomes are lower. From time to time, we also find ways of doing a trade or exchange – if we can find something that is supportive of Mystika School – and that is supported by your skills. Reach out and let’s talk.
I’m excited, but also nervous – is that normal?
Completely normal. Any path that expands you will often bring excitement and edge. That edge is where the growth is!

Do I need previous experience in Tantra to join?
You don’t need Tantric experience, but you do need a solid foundation in spirituality. This is not a beginner-level training – it’s designed for those who are already walking a spiritual path and ready to go deeper. If you’re unsure, reach out, and we can discuss to see if it’s the right fit for you.
I’m new to spiritual trainings – is this for me?
If you’re new to spiritual work, this training is not the right fit. It’s designed for those already offering some kind of healing or spiritual work, who are ready to step to the next level.
Is this course better for singles or couples?
Both. It’s equally powerful for individuals or couples. Most practices can be explored solo or with a partner, and many people join on their own and still experience profound transformation.
What if I can’t attend all the live sessions?
We encourage live attendance as much as possible, as this is where the deepest transmission happens. However, all sessions are recorded and available for replay, so you can catch up where needed. We recommend staying up to date to get the most out of the full journey and be moving at the same pace as the group.
Is this a theoretical or experiential course?
There is some theory to give context and understanding, but the core of this training is experiential – you will feel, embody, and integrate these teachings through tools, techniques, and practices.
What results can I expect?
Results vary depending on your level of commitment and experience. Most people experience a deepening of their spiritual connection, greater embodiment, and a significant expansion in their capacity to support others. For many, this also translates into clearer offerings, deeper client work, and more income.
What if I don’t have a regular spiritual practice?
This training helps you anchor a regular practice. You’ll be given structured practices that support you in creating a consistent, nourishing daily connection – as well as tantric techniques to explore solo or with a partner. It’s important you commit to a regular practice as part of this journey, otherwise you won’t fully embody the teachings and will be unable to transmit them to others in a powerful way.
Can I use this training as a space for healing?
Yes. This is a deeply supportive container where healing naturally happens as part of the process, especially throughout Level 1. However, this is also a teacher training – so alongside your own healing, you’ll be developing the capacity to guide others. As we move further into Level 2, there will be less focus on your self-healing, and more on you stepping up as a teacher, so just be aware of that.
I want to learn Tantra, but I’m not sure about the Egyptian focus – is this for me?
This path is deeply rooted in Egyptian Tantra. We work with Egyptian deities, symbols, and energetic systems – so a resonance with Egypt is important. If that doesn’t call to you, another path would be a better fit.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes – payment can be split into monthly instalments, and spread over 12 months or longer (the lowest monthly amount is $500)
